Οργανώνοντας ένα εργαστήριο STEAM και Εκπαιδευτικής Ρομποτικής στην Προσχολική Εκπαίδευση

Η ενασχόληση των παιδιών με τις Φυσικές Επιστήμες, την Τεχνολογία, την Τέχνη, τα Μαθηματικά και τις κατασκευές, συντελεί στη βελτίωση της ικανότητας παρατήρησης και προβληματισμού, στοιχεία τα οποία αποτελούν τους ακρογωνιαίους λίθους για την ανάπτυξη του επιστημονικού πνεύματος. Τα παιδιά είναι σε θέση να αναπτύξουν την ικανότητα υποβολής ερωτήσεων, να δοκιμάσουν διαφορετικές θεωρίες και να επιλύσουν προβλήματα, μέσα από απλά επιστημονικά πειράματα και δραστηριότητες μέσα από τις οποίες ενισχύονται η κριτική και δημιουργική σκέψης των μαθητών/μαθητριών, καθώς και οι απαιτούμενες δεξιοτήτες για την επίλυση προβλημάτων μέσω της ενεργητικής μάθησης. Στην παρούσα εργασία αναδεικνύεται η σημασία της STEAM εκπαίδευσης και της Εκπαιδευτικής Ρομποτικής στη σύγχρονη Προσχολική Εκπαίδευση, μέσα από την παρουσίαση των βασικών βημάτων αυτής της μεθοδολογίας και της διαδικασίας σχεδιασμού ενός εργαστηρίου STEAM και Εκπαιδευτικής Ρομποτικής.

ΠΑΡΑΣΚΕΥΗ ΦΩΤΗ Post Doc c.in STE(A)M, PhD, MEd, MA, Educational Coordinator in Preschool Education, Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Scientix Ambassador.
Paraskevi Foti serves as an Educational Coordinator in Preschool Education at the 3rd Regional Educational Planning Center of Attica -Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs- with a second specialization in Philology and accredited degrees in Music. She holds a PhD in Language from the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the University of Athens, Master's Degree (MEd) with Diploma in Intercultural Education and Management of Diversity and another Master's Degree (MA): Specialization in ICT and Special Education with Diploma in STEAM and Educational Robotics in the inclusive kindergarten. Now she is conducting a post-doctoral thesis on STEAM at the University of Western Macedonia with Professor Tharrenos Bratitsis. She has published articles on topics related to language, Intercultural Education, STE(A)M and educational robotics and scientific articles and studies in international and national scientific journals. She is a developer of projects STEAM and Robotics in Kindergarten for the 21st Century Skills Labs of the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP), developer, coordinator and author of content for eTwinning seminar (Educational Robotics with Bee-Bot) and EELLAK seminar (Fossbot). She is a Scientix Ambassador and developer in STEM Leanring Scenarios for Kindergarten in the MOOC of Scientix/European Schoolnet Academy: STEM Out of The Box: A STEM Approach to Non-STEM Subjects, which began in September 2022 and evaluator in educational robotics competitions with a strong interest in Information and Communication Technologies and their contribution to teaching work, actively supporting open software. She is a Scientific Associate with many years of lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate level - MSc Pedagogy through Innovative Technologies and Biomedical Approaches - University of West Attica.

Tharrenos Bratitsis is a Full Professor at the Early Childhood Education Department, University of Western Macedonia, Greece and a director of the Creativity, Innovation and Technology in Education (CrInTE) Laboratory.
His teaching and research is related to Digital and Global Competences, Innovative actions in the Educational sector through technology, in all levels and types of Education (formal, non-formal, informal).
He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Patras. He holds a PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning from the University of the Aegean.
He is a member of many scientific associations, a member of the steering committee of the Hellenic Association for ICTs in Education since 2014. He has participated in over 300 international conferences’ scientific committees; is a member of the reviewers’ board of 47 scientific journals (3 as an associate editor) and publishes regularly, having over 250 scientific papers with over 1000 citations on his work. He has participated in over 50 research funded projects, 17 as a coordinator (global or for UOWM). He has significant expertise in Project Management, Quality Assurance Management (having served as a QAM in over 15 EU funded projects).
He has several international collaborations which European countries but also with the USA and OECD, working towards a collective research effort at the moment. He has been selected as an Expert to contribute to the adaptation of SELFIE to Early Childhood Education within 2022.
His research interests include Technology Enhanced Learning, Game-based Learning, Digital Storytelling, STEAM Education, Educational Robotics, Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Game-based Learning, Gamification and Learning Analytics. Having served in an Early Childhood Education Department, a significant focus of his work has been that educational level.
