Hi, I am Yiannis!

I am an e-Learning Specialist & an experienced adult trainer. I am also the Co-Founder and CEO of WIDE Services company (www.wideservices.gr), thee Moodle Certified Services Provider for Greece & Cyprus! I have worked in all places in a Software/E-learning services company with expertise in designing Gamified e-Learning courses. I have involved as a Project Manager, Sales, customer care, Training/Technical Manager, developer(,...) in hundreds of projects since 2006 when I started my career.
As Solution Architect I work with HR/Training managers to analyze their training needs & organize their LMS accordingly. I have worked with many large organizations & designed their e-Learning platforms to train thousands of users. Companies who trusted me are OPAP SA, Athens International Airport, Vodafone, Kotsovolos, Kleemann, Intralot,...
I have also participated in creating online courses for various topics & industries like induction, ISMS, product/services etc.

I usually act as an e-Learning Business Consultant. I enjoy to design solutions for small or large organizations & help them grow their ideas to e-Learning Businesses. My IT background helps me to design new solutions, thinking out of the box of Moodle, & make clever LMS systems, with automation which help companies to focus on their trainings instead of just administration the LMS.

I have received awards in international competitions & degrees in various topics (Innovation, entrepreneurship, edu games etc), & I act as Moodle Mentor-Assessor for Moodle Course Creator Certificate. That's why I think I have strong knowledge of Moodle!

Meanwhile, from 2011 I help with Moodle Translation in Greek & also I am one of the responsible compilers for the Moodle Pty Ltd videos on youtube channel.

I have completed my bachelor in University of Piraeus in Department of Digital Systems & afterwards received my MSC diploma in e-Learning from the same Dpt.
I have presented several works in many conferences in Europe talking for e-learning games, design patterns, the use of comics in education, Gamification, Moodle etc.

Educational manager and MEC facilitator at WIDE Services

I am a well-recognized educator, developer, and researcher with over thirty years experience in the classroom, e-learning, informatics as well as upper management of educational institutions. 
I have two BS degrees from the University of Athens, one in Physics the other in Faculty of Primary Education. In addition, I am an adult educator, instructional designer, MCCC, Moodle Mentor Assessor. My work has been funded by European Union awards. 

My current work is focused on the development of courses using MOODLE platform and I have used Moodle to create courses for universities, schools, and companies. 
As an instructional designer and Moodle Course Creator, I can help people to create content or -if they already have a content- I can organize it in the Moodle environment and make it interactive ( e.g SCORM, video, images). Also as certified Moodle Mentor Assessor, I can train people to learn how to use Moodle or facilitate their courses.

Moreover, I have a long record of educational publications: I am the author or co-author of 13 textbooks, in the subjects of Chemistry and Physics for the upper grades of High School, 3 books, in the field of educational methods, as well as the author or co-author of 26 peer-reviewed manuscripts in conference proceedings.  

I am also the founder and administration of the e-learning platform learn-era.gr . In this site I have created mathematical courses for both primary and high school learners. Also, I have physic courses for primary school learners.
