Educator of technological direction & special training with specialization in STEAM pedagogical approach. My employment in public secondary and primary formal & special education fueled my curiosity to explore innovative classroom activities combining unplugged activities with physical materials, with technology to understand real life situations in a playful way at first.
The knowledge I received about the usefulness of technology about improving people's communication in special education from E.K.P.A university as well as for the education of everyone in general, making the technology a multi-tool for knowledge and creation.
That reason motivated me to train in innovative digital programs based on STEAM approach that perfectly combines the Sciences with the Art and is offered for all levels of education. The training has been received to me by the University of Thessaly regarding to teaching strategies, digital tools and electronic boards for the creation of artifacts contributed to this.
Among the knowledge about the interdisciplinary STEAM approach & the skills required in the 21st century for employment emerged knowledge of new professional careers related to this pedagogical approach and the skills that should be strengthened in children who are to be employed in the future by taking advantage of contemporary education trends in Europe.
Train that I received from Euroschoolnet Mooc as well as the open Greek university programs about innovational teaching methods contributed to this equally.
Knowledge is a gift to human kind and curiosity is a tool motivation for explore it, i think our children need motivation through science & art to make the world a better place for them to create new future ways of living. We ought to give them that vision don't you think?
