Providing reliable and trustworthy synchronous and asynchronous eLearning services during
the COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging task. The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
is the largest University in Greece in terms of numbers of schools, faculty, and students.
During our presentation we discuss and share our experiences from the past seven months,
starting from the middle of March and the initial stage of the pandemic, when the
University’s Senate made the decision to move instantly from the traditional classroom to
eLearning (synchronous and asynchronous) both for teaching and for examination purposes.
Up until then the eLearning platform was mainly used as an educational repository.
