Marie Achour, Global Head of Product at Moodle, shares insights about the Moodle Product Roadmap

Marie Achour has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Marie is currently serving as the Global Head of Product at Moodle since January 2022.

Prior to that, they held the position of Non Executive Director at Suitsme and Ruah Community Services, starting in February 2020 and January 2020 respectively.

From 2019 to 2022, Marie worked at Vix Technology, where they first served as the Pulse Product Line Manager from October 2019 to June 2021, and then as the Head of Product Management from June 2021 to January 2022.

Before their time at Vix Technology, Marie was employed at Bankwest from 2012 to 2019. Their roles at Bankwest included Principal Product Owner, Strategy Advisor - Technology & Transformation, General Manager Business Development - Products & Marketing, and Executive Manager Customer Strategy & Process - Products & Marketing.

Their earlier work experience includes roles at Alphawest Pty Ltd as a Business Analyst from 2000 to 2006, and at Scitec Pty Ltd as a Service Coordinator from 1997 to 2000.

Marie Achour has a diverse educational background. In 1996, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from the Amsterdam School of International Business. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1996, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business at the University of Montevallo. In 2009, Marie obtained an MBA in Business from Edith Cowan University. Additionally, they have a Professional Training in Influential Leadership from UNSW, although the specific start and end years are not provided. Marie Achour also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in October 2018.
