The course "Sustainable Development Through 3D Design" was developed on the Moodle platform to empower educators with innovative tools and methodologies for teaching sustainability. Recognizing the interdisciplinary nature of sustainable development, the course integrates principles of environmental, social, and economic sustainability with the creative potential of 3D design.
Designed for teachers of various disciplines, this course equips participants with practical skills to use a 3D modeling software as an educational tool. Through engaging, hands-on activities, educators learned how to guide students in designing 3D models that address sustainability challenges, such as resource management, urban planning, and renewable energy solutions.
The course spans over a period of 6 weeks, including video tutorials, simple design projects, a final course project and assessment tools for peer reviewing the final project. By fostering creativity and critical thinking, it enables educators to inspire students to adopt sustainable practices while enhancing their technical and problem-solving skills. This innovative approach positions 3D design as both a medium for exploring sustainability and a mechanism for developing 21st-century competencies, creating a meaningful impact on the way sustainable development is taught in classrooms.

Η εργασία εξετάζει τη χρήση του Mobile Learning (m-learning) και των Smart Lessons στην εκπαίδευση μέσω της πλατφόρμας Moodle. Αντικείμενο της είναι η αξιοποίηση της τεχνολογίας για τη βελτίωση της μαθησιακής εμπειρίας, ενώ αναλύονται οι προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζουν οι εκπαιδευτικοί και μαθητές κατά τη χρήση της. Στο Moodle δημιουργήθηκε βάση δεδομένων και ψηφιακή βιβλιοθήκη με εφαρμογές και τεχνολογίες που αναπτύσσουν ψηφιακές δεξιότητες, ενώ το Smart Evaluation Meter (SEM) αξιολογεί την αποτελεσματικότητα των μαθημάτων.
